FROST ADVISORY????

First, kudos to the best attorney in the state of new jersey.... Claire Calinda... and my hopes that she doesn't say: "I told you so"

Her sage advise was, "Never plant outside until after Mother's Day"

The complaints of my comrades in idaho, who lament the wintery April weather... is now echo'd here. Although I dont' see any snow, my weather.com splash screen SCREAMS 33 degrees!

I remember (my head is tilted, as I gaze unseeingly at a point in the sky.... in memory.... ) I remember... not years.... not weeks... but mere days ago, when the weather was over 60 degrees at this early hour and the day blossomed into a magnificent 75 degree day!

OH when... Oh when ... will my summer be here!

have a great day!

Interesting AND True

As opposed to Interesting... and completely false.

This Saturday, I will be driving my company box truck (or rather, my brother will be driving) to my old house... where the slag resides... to (are you sitting down?) Pick up the brand new livingroom furniture, wall unit, big screen TV and the grandfather clock he wanted to keep... because he is moving out.

He is moving out and moving in with his brother.

He will be renting the house, and doesn't have anywhere for the stuff to go, so he offered it to me... And, well, it has always been a dream of mine to have a matching living room... you know something that looks like it came out of a magazine, instead of out of a ... garage sale.

And so...... it is

$150.00 to fill up the box trucks tank with Gas
$30.00 take my bro out to lunch
$500.00 if I had to pay someone to do the job...

- Not being married to the retard that just figured out he can't afford to pay his mortgage after living in the house and refinancing every year for 8 years.... priceless

Anyway, I will confirm with him again later in the week... because I am thinking this may be one of those... believe it when I see it, however I don't want to drive all the way there just to pick up a... vase or something.

---------------------

My brother is in, still soem things to resituate, but he doesn't think he will be staying long.. however, I also know that time just flies by... I think he has already been here 3 weeks... and it seems like yesterday he was calling me up and telling me he needed to move in tomorrow!

Hey, did I plug my bookstores yet today?

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Well, it's time to get dinner on the table and to get my littlest out of the bathtub.

Have a great day
Everyone is healthy and fine!

OH, I am now... back in the 1 load of laundry a day club. I am reeping the benefits in a wild way!

Have a good one!

Things are looking good

On the whole, things are looking good.
SHC (Scary Hobo Clown) is no where to be found... I caught a glimpse of him when my brother moved in upstairs. (did I mention, that my brother moved in upstairs?)
We caught a glimpse of him, but alas... he has since disappeared. Perhaps, he is in hiding because he heard about what Rosie the Wonder Dog had been doing to the "toys" downstairs... who knows.

My mini-van is in the shop. Peace of Mind Auto Repairs... That's right, Friends and Family... I took my car to "Peace of Mind Auto Repairs" where Free Willy, (the mechanic, who as it turns out is named Willy, but is anything but Free) is working on repairing my machine.

Bad News $1052.00 for the repair
Good News in the process of getting to the part to fix the repair, he is removing and replacing some gaskets and seals that according to Ford are known to go bad at about this many miles.

How many miles? you ask.... I reply with a sigh..... "A mere 78K!" Well, it's no Jeep wrangler!
Fortunately my N BFF (text code for New Best Friend Forever) her husband loaned me his Suburban, which has worked out really well, because when the incredibly LAZY sanitation guys came buy and looked at the Yard Waste that was no neatly lined up at my driveway... they turned a blind eye... or perhaps were conveniently distracted by an attractive blue jay and failed to pick up my sticks! Thank goodness I had the suburuban, I just hauled them off to the recycling center myself.

My new camera is broken. That friends is a bummer, but still... it's just a thing. I have a service contract, a warranty and all that good stuff.... I'm sure it will be fine... but I have to get it to Mack Camera in Summit... which I will endeavor to do today.

Rosie is happy heathy and full of love... I have tired a rope around a tree... and I walk her with her lease in the yard... then when I have made sure the coast is clear... I let her run around. If she stays outside though, I clip her to the leash around the tree... I just can't risk her jumping the fence again.

The Kids... Ahhhhh the kids... They are ITCHING for summer! Thankfully I have figured out how to having someone watch them three days a week, and I will stay home 2 days a week. SUMMER... I'm so happy that I will be able to give them some semblance of a summer!

Ahhhhhhhh life is good.

So... I was thinking... if eveything that has happened... is the worst that happens.... I'm in GREAT SHAPE! right?

And Collicollkins..... The light at the end of the tunnel is finally glaringly bright! YOU DID IT! I'm so proud of you!

I'd also like to know .... exactly how much money one can expect to earn shoveling roofs in Idaho over the winter... HA HA HA HA HA

Snagged by Slag

Well well well.... once again I find myself embroiled in a slagathon of mammoth proportions... And so... because I am feeling particularly Romanesque... I will provide your with the update... in a Shakespearean style

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Slag, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Slag. The abominable Slagus
Hath told me his motor cycleth dideth crash:
Not a grievous accident, but more a 5 mph dump
And grievously hath Slag supposedly suffered.
Here, I say to you, an emergency room visit
That doth last under 3 hours denotes no great pain.
But insteadeth... This doth giveth the excuse he waiteth for.
The ticket out of worketh

OK... enough--Here's what happened, as far as I can tell.
Saturday evening I was riding the Harley Davidson (which he denies owning, but after about 15 of the 20 mandatory questions to get to the 1/2 point of truth, he said he is "keeping" it in his garage) So, He was riding the motorcycle of unknown origin, He admits he was putting along at about 5 mph, around a jug handle when he dumped the bike. He drove the motorcycle home.
He called his brother in law and asked him to take him to the emergency room, he went. He returned less than 3 hours later (after he claims they ran every single X-ray they could to confirm there were no broken bones) THAT.... was Saturday.

He said, he didn't even have any road rash.

He said he was sore.. and in fact, he was unable to see the kids on Sunday because of his "accident".

Today... Tuesday. He claims... he has been home since the accident. he has just refilled his prescriptions and he will be "out of work for a long long time"

now, you and I both know... that "out of work for a long long time" for a state employee... may just mean that they won't have to show up at work... but may still get paid. Who knows.

OK OK too callous? What if he is really hurt? Well... I seriously doubt he is seriously injured, but I believe fully he thinks he is.

AND that is how the Slag boy rolls! Speaking of rolls, he claims in his 5 mph skid... he had the presence of mind to leap over the handle bars and perform a combat roll free himself of the dangerous situation. Yea him.

On a bright note: My new little azalea bushes are thriving on my deck and are adding the most wonderful colors to my morning view!

Have a great day!
I hear that SHC is coming...

New Moves

OH MAN... I hate when that happens... some software expert I am.... Have you ever spent like 15 minutes composing the perfect story... and then click the wrong button and... pufff.... it's gone.
The worse part is... I don't remember exactly how I worded all of my great piffy remarks... gone! gone! I have no patience for recreating them!

Here's the summary:
My bro is living up stairs. (saved for another blog entry)
He and SHC (scary hobo clown) are best buds
***WARNING FOR THOSE THAT FEAR CLOWNS***
There will be pictures ... nay... a pictorial of SHC's recent escapades shortly.

ALSO
B the King... and his friends at the local aphasia center have started their own blog... It's awesome! It's stories. It's great! Take a minute with a cup of coffee and read a couple. You won't be disappointed.

here's their blog: http://aphasiatomt.blogspot.com

For more information about the Adler Aphasia Center, click here: http://www.adleraphasiacenter.org/

Funny little aside: B used my blog as an example of what can be included and I believe the "bead up the nose" entry was on top! HA HA HA HA HA HA AH AH

Have a great day!
I love spring!

Bead up the nose.

I dodged a trip to the emergency room today... by squirting a bead out of my littlest's nose.

She was crying and telling me to "get it out!"

The other kids were telling me she had buggers in her nose.

I looked, didn't see anything, but got her to start blowing her nose... then I kind of squished it and out popped a bead.

I could tell by the way she was acting that she had stuck something up there...

I remember growing up... Little Dickie stuck a Pea up his nose and had to go to the emergency room.

little dicky is about 35 now... I haven't seen him in over 20 years... I don't think I would recognize him on the street... but you can bet your bottom dollar, that if our paths cross in such a way as to have me realize that he is "little dicky" anyone within ear shot is going to hear, "Hey, do you remember that time you stuck that pea up your nose and your parents had to take you to the emergency room?" HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Anyway, luckily, I dodge the ER... and the bead popped out. I'm 1/2 tempted, (only 1/2 way) to save the offending bead for her baby book... why fill up the book with her scholastic accomplishments, when I can fill it up with the near misses of the ER!

Have a great day!

P.S. Dr. Coll is now advising me to drop my laundry off at the local Fold 'N Wash and pay the $12.00 to have a week's worth of clothes cleaned and folded.... and quite frankly... between the Wash N Fold, the Shop Rite Online drive-up service and Dexter my vacuum... I'm starting to feel a bit pampered...

Today is Friday. Life is Good!
Slag Free for Me!

Have a great day!

FINALLY... GOING TO COUNSELING

That's right.

I have sought professional help.

They have a name for my sickness... my illness... my malady...

Ablutovestiphobia = Fear of washing clothes!

From the more classically known phobias:
Ablutophobia- Fear of washing or bathing.
Vestiphobia - fear of clothing
Now that the word is out... I guess I can tell you what steps I have taken to cure myself.
I have enrolled in Dr. Coll's Class "Housework for the laundry impaired" (you see, we prefer to call ourselves, Laundry Challenged, or Laundry Impaired, rather than the hurtful slang that is currently circulating... messy, lazy, slothful, and slovenly)
So, I signed up for telephone counseling and have had my first session. I must say, Dr. Coll is very supportive... (I could have sworn I heard her mention that she had a cleaning lady... but I must be wrong!) Anyway, Dr. Coll has determined that I need to participate in the One Load A Day.
Similar to the AA 12 step program... except there is only 2 steps.
Step #1) Wash, fold and put away all your laundry
Step#2) Moving forward wash, fold, put away one load a day
I'll keep you posted.
I started the "program" last week, I am still working on Step #1. I think I should be all caught up in another 10 days or so!
have a great day!
Spring is around the corner!
