Weight Watchers

Yup, once again I am doing it. (If you remember my other blog, I had a very particular stumbling block to the weight watchers point system)

It's 4:00am. I have a meeting at a clients office today and I need to get up especially early in case I have to iron. I'm not going to use that as an excuse... nope not me... But I need to tell you, I have already used 7 of my available 27 points for the day.

How?

2 cups of coffee....

That's right, each cup of Joe had a delectable 1/4 cup of light cream. I wonder if the dairy intake will help fight against osteoporosis... ha ha ha

Couple of things... I'm down to only 4 cups of coffee a day, so I think I can stay below my points this time... I hope. Each cup of the nectar-of-the-gods uses 3.5 points! That's only 1.5 points less than.... A bag of M&M's.... or 1 point less than.... A slice of Pizza... AND YET.... it is worth it to me!

I need a vice. Any ideas? I need a vice that is fulfilling, non caloric and won't lead to cancer.

Let's see... the weather has once again turned cold. Not, knock-down-the-lit-globe-of-the-sun-advertising-a-car-sale-in-Idaho cold... but cold. I have decided to take the gas companies offer to make regular monthly payments... in lieu of paying the HUGE bill for these winter months... You know how it is... I got lulled into a false sense of security over the summer with some nice little $50.00 bills.... Now, the bills are more like $400.00... right? I heard on the radio that the President has signed some kind of relief bill to assist in paying the heating bills of some very cold states. (yes, the radio did say exactly which states... but it's 4:00 in the morning and all I remember is that they were "very cold")

I was wondering, you know, just kind of thinking... wouldn't it be nice if the president signed a bill that actually affected me ... you know, in a positive way. Something like taking care of my gas bill would be great! Or.... Some kind of child care assistance... that would be great too! hhmmmmmmmmmm while I'm day dreaming about how I'd like our tax dollars to specifically benefit... me. How about, A new car stipend .... HEY.... WHAT ABOUT THIS.... An allowance!

Yeah, that' s it! I keep my yard and house tidy, and the government will give me my allowance. Of course, they will check under the beds to make sure I didn't stuff any clothes there...

While I'm day dreaming... how about a government subsidy to purchase hybrid or "green" cars. You know, kind of like the Guns for Money program in L.A. You bring in your gas guzzler and the government give you a voucher for a brand new ... Toyota Highlander Hybrid. right? OK OK... so maybe the government would prefer we stay American.. How about the Ford Explorer Hybrid? It's just a thought. The next time President Bush calls to ask my opinion... I'll let him know.

(please note, that I have used spell check for your reading pleasure)

I want to give a shout out to my friend Mary... STAY STRONG! It could be so much worse... they could have kept him in that other place and you would be spending your days wondering if he is being cared for properly! right?

To anyone else who has called me between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00pm. Can't a sista get some sleep! (Hey now... I don't comment on your life!)

I'm more of... what you would call a.... morning person. By the time I get everyone in bed... that's it for me. I grab a book... and I hit the sack. Last night several people called, I thought it was the same person calling back several times, so I got up to answer the phone... and it was a RECORDED MESSAGE ABOUT ... SOMETHING HA HA HA HA HA

Of course, I did miss a couple of calls from people, and so I say.... Sorry, but I was resting/tired/sleeping/in the process of sleeping/in the process of getting the kids to sleep... something related to relaxing and/or sleeping.

OK. That's it for today! GO WEIGHT WATCHERS!

Have a great day everyone!
